Keep your wired headphones for longer. While our Fairphone 5 and Fairphone 4 do not have a regular 3.5 mm headphone jack, that doesn’t mean you have to throw away your wired headphones. If you want to stay wired, we’ve got you covered with the UBS-C to mini audio jack. As long as you have a USB-C port, you can use this adaptor.
This adaptor is compatible with both TRS and TRRS jacks. When it comes to TRRS, it’s suitable for both CTIA and OMTP. To put it in simpler terms, it can be used for audio input as well as output. Enabling the use of headsets with microphones or a standalone microphone.
Just to be sure: Your Fairphone 3 or 3+ already came equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack. So, there’s no need for an adaptor. If you have a Fairphone 1 or 2, unfortunately, neither phone is compatible with this adaptor. Just keep and use what you do have.
